Consign with us?

We’d love to see what you have! If you are interested in consigning with us, please read how our process works and how we can get your items in store.

Earn Money

Consigning allows you to earn money from items you no longer need or use. Instead of letting them collect dust or disposing of them, consigning gives you the opportunity to recoup some of their value by selling them in our store

Extended Lifespan

Consigning items extends their lifespan by giving them a chance to find a new owner who will appreciate and use them. This reduces waste and contributes to a more sustainable approach to consumption, benefiting both the environment and your wallet.

Convenience

Consigning is a convenient way to declutter your home without the hassle of managing a garage sale or online listings. Consignment stores handle the marketing, sales, and transactions, saving you time and effort while still allowing you to profit from your unwanted items.

We would also love to consider anything that is particularly interesting, unusual, or cool! We generally accept items we feel will sell within the 60-day consignment period. Please understand that we may not be able to accept your items, due to our constant influx of inventory. Please note, if you are looking to make the most amount of money, we may not be the right fit for your items. We typically price items lower than similar consignment store in order to keep our inventory moving. Once items are received at our store, they are entered into our inventory and priced accordingly.

Although we sell small household goods, we acquire an overwhelming amount from our estate clean-outs. These are sold on behalf of our charitable partner, and we are not able to accept them for consignment.

Consignment Period

A consignment period refers to the length of time during which an item is entrusted to a consignment store or seller for the purpose of sale. It is the duration for which the consignor (the person selling the item) agrees to leave their merchandise with the consignee (the store or seller) to attempt to sell it.

Our consignment period lasts 60 days, with prices dropping by 12% every 3 weeks. Sales are split 50/50 between the seller and the store. Unsold items can either be picked up at the end of the consignment period or, we will donate to our charity partner on the consigner’s behalf. The consigner is entitled to a tax benefit for the value of the item.

Getting your Consignment to our store

Once the items are approved by our team, consigners are responsible for delivering their items to our store; we are unable to offer a pick-up service. (if you are interested, we can recommend a pickup/delivery service for hire.)

For larger consignments/pickups, our sister company, Clean Out Your House, Inc. can provide transportation to our store. For information and pricing on our clean out service, please contact Clean Out Your House directly at 781-996-0968, or visit their website by clicking the button below.

How much do you think the item will sell for.

Purchase Pick up

If a customer makes a purchase but is not ready/able to take the item home at that time, Buy and Consign is able to store the item in our shop for up to 7 days from purchase. Due to space limitations, items not picked up after 7 days will be considered abandoned merchandise and returned to our sales floor.
